On Tuesday, January 29th, our club held a Club Assembly meeting. After reviewing our club's financial position, we've decided to allocate contributions to the following:
~ Rotary Against Drugs Speech Contest - $100.00
~ Interact and Rotaract Club Expenses - $200.00
~ Jamestown Public Library - $1,000.00
~ Family Services of the Piedmont - $500.00
~ Jamestown Area YMCA - $1,000.00
~ Alcoholics House of Prayer - $500.00
~ Waccamau Boys & Girls Homes - $500.00
~ GTCC Student Scholarships (4) - $2,000.00
~ Rotary Youth Leadership Program (1) - $700.00
~ Rotary Foundation - $800.00
~ Shrine Burn Center - $200.00
~ Piedmont Saddle Club - $200.00
~ Horsepower - $800.00
All totaled, our club has alloted $9,600.00 in assistance to local charities and scholarship funds. Our work has just begun!
Our club has moved its meeting location to the Jamestown Town Hall located at 301 E. Main Street, Jamestown.
We are also in the beginning stages of planning for this year's Horse Show which will be held on October 4th, 2008 at the Piedmont Saddle Club.

I'm curious if you think your rotary club or the rotary club, generally speaking, would be interested in have Visa cards that are customized for them and help raise funds? It used to be that only massive organizations could join such a program, but we can create programs for very small organizations. My email is doug.davis@cardpartner.com. Thanks!
